Jetway gears up for busy AIX 2024

Members of the Jetway Communications team have attended the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) for over 15 years now, either as PR professionals, journalists or both. From the press conferences to the parties, you could say the show is a home from home (a big, loud, busy one, anyway).

It may feel familiar, but it’s always exciting too, offering the opportunity to catch up with peers face-to-face and to peel back the curtain on some of the passenger experience industry’s most exciting new innovations.

Jetway is looking forward to doing a mix of just that at AIX 2024. As well as the recent announcement that founder Maryann Simson will be hosting the Crystal Cabin Award ceremony (the Oscars of the aviation industry!) on the evening of 28th May, she’s also leading other thought leadership sessions around the show.

From 10:45 to 11:30 on Tuesday 28th, Maryann will be hosting a panel discussion as part of WTCE’s Taste of Travel Theatre offering. “Fighting Fraud in the Cabin” will see four esteemed panellists look at innovative solutions to help overcome inflight payment fraud, which affects between two and ten percent of all inflight sales today.

Taking part in the session are Raluca Ioana Avram, Anti-Fraud and Investigations Manager at Wizz Air; Manuel Huebschmann, Head of Retail for Europe at Retail inMotion; Livia Vité, Chief Commercial Officer at Perseuss; and Job Heimerikx, CEO at AirFi.

Next up, Maryann will be popping up as part of Inflight’s CabinSpace Live seminar programme. Between 13:00 and 13:45 on Tuesday 28th, she will explore a “New Era: the fascinating future of the aircraft cabin.” Participants in the discussion are yet to be announced, but the focus will be on groundbreaking onboard concepts and products being developed by aircraft cabin suppliers and design agencies.

Elsewhere, Jetway Communications team-members Ari Magnusson and Stephanie Taylor will be on the ground at the show representing existing clients and meeting new prospects.
