Airline technology provider AirFi supplies carriers with a portfolio of entertainment, retail and connectivity solutions aimed at executing its concept of a “Mall in the Sky,” where passengers can watch movies, visit the arcade or food court, book a holiday and more.
Without a dedicated marketing person in-house and busy executing on its largest airline contract to date, AirFi was struggling to generate and organise the necessary assets to submit entries for numerous prestigious awards ceremonies taking place at the 2023 Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, the biggest annual event for the passenger experience industry.
Jetway conducted extensive research into the different awards submissions processes to build a clear picture of what was required to enter each one.
We worked with staff across AirFi’s business (from sales to engineering) to gather the information required for the submissions. The Crystal Cabin Award (CCA) submission for AirFi LEO (AirFi’s connectivity solution) was the most complex, requiring information on patents, industry benchmarking with other similar products and more.
Jetway created compelling content in various formats including video and a detailed brochure. The CCAs required both private submission for judges and a press pack about the entry to be distributed to the media.
We crafted PR and social text that covered every possible outcome across the awards (whether AirFi won one, two or all three of those it entered).
Jetway was on the ground in Hamburg ready to secure great imagery of the collection of any awards during the ceremonies or of the trophies with the AirFi staff on-stand, and to handle any resulting media requests.
Jetway’s thorough research and client knowledge resulted in a hat-trick of awards, positioning AirFi as an industry leader in the IFEC and ancillary revenues space and generating a massive bump in its brand awareness as a result.
